Tuesday, January 31, 2006 ( CNY 2006 @ 12:35 AM ) Yes!!! It's CNY! CNY EVE Reunion dinner was very late...1st time ever! Mum had to work so cud come back only ard 6plus..Dad haf no idea what to do with the veggies, meat etc..but wel, with the great help of ME we managed to wipe up the delicious and mouth-watering dishes by 8pm! As usual, my small uncle's family came over for dinner but his family and mine dun eat tog la..so after they left (they came ard 5plus..so i guess they are already starving then..) anyway, my family ate at 8plus...we had abt 9 dishes..cool~ was very satisfied after eating... =) sis jio the siblings for mahjong and we started our little casino... mum took over my sis at 1am plus cus she was tired and me, my 2 brothers & mum continued to 'battle' till 5am! You might be asking who's the great winner... aHem ahEm... well... it's yours sincerely... =) 1st day CNY I felt as if i just celebrated CNY not long ago and now it's here again...thou this yr we have lost the presence of a cousin but I'm glad that everyone has moved on...i will stil rem my cousin and miss her but i'm sure she would want everyone to let go and be happy... anyway, this year CNY was not the same as b4.. firstly, since the 'invasion' of a digi cam (compliments from sis), my whole family took a few family fotos and of cus the siblings (in particular mi & my sis) took alot of our portfolios.. i rem the last time we took fotos during CNY was like hmm... when i was just a small girl around P1 or P2.....? wel.. for the minority who knows my family prob wil understand the followin situation...wel..my whole familyy except my mum went out to my grandma's there to bian nian...my mum chose to stay at home...*family stuff shall not disclose online...* Surprisely, we were the latest grp of family there as my 2nd and 3rd aunt's family were there already..been a really long time since I saw everyone and also my cousins!! And of cus.. as usual, during CNY, the best thing I like is...if you are thinking abt red packets then you are WRONG! It's the compliments my aunts etc will give..haha.... every year they will just say "Oh, getting prettier already leh.. so slim ar.." Oh well, I guess that's really a good start to the year~ Had planned for KTV session in the later evening or night but my small aunt say we shud stay and acompany my grandma...wel..she's is right to say that but I do felt rather disappointed cus I was so looking forward to the KTV session.... The auntS (so-called the 60s-70s generations) chit chatted in the livin room and the cousins (so-called the 80s generations) watched TV and chit chatted in the other room.... but by 6pm plus...most of the cousins had left as they haf other plans..so I was getting really bored.... went off ard 8plus 9pm with no place in mind to go... guess it was mood swing or perhaps feelin sore abt the KTV session..anyway, was roaming aimlessly till 9plus 10pm then decided then perhaps i can try my luck & ask my aunt and cousins for KTV again! And yes! the next hour, to be more exact, ard 1120pm, we were at Marine Parade Kbox.. So it was KTV maddness from 1130pm all the way till 4am in the morning! there were my sis, my 2 brothers, my small aunt and one of my cousin.... total cost was $223 plus and yours sincerely paid for more than 80%! w0W!... that's was realli a heartache and i cud felt my pocket burnin away...but then again, the laughter and fun and bonding that was gained thru this KTV made me felt that everything was worth it.. and once again..another night which I turned in at 5am.... *fotos am still with my sis...waiting for them to be uploaded....pls stay tune closely for the really pretty,handsome,delicious,exciting,funky,funny,overloaded PHOTOS!!!!! meanwhile, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE! 0 comments |
