0 comments Wednesday, June 27, 2007 ( i m broke @ 11:00 AM ) the story of the 31litres oxygen that cost SGD178.... Chris was invited to my office to give the staff a health check on the % of oxygen in our blood. (Bet no one ever thought about this right...?) My test showed 98% of oxygen in my blood. Did you think my score was a healthy sign...? You are wrong. Chris said IDEALLY, it should be 100%. If you are 99%, you are still safe. If you are 98%, then you must make sure it doesn't drop any further. Cus usu. the % will decrease as you grow older and if the % decrease any further, you will have to depend on a oxygen drip to survive! But then, 98% is still rather safe la... *pHew...* Well, obviously Chris wasn't here to just do the oxygen check, he came on behalf of his company which is promoting this product. And needless to say, this is the product which made me S$178 poorer. It is a bottle containing 31litres of Oxygen! This oxygen can be used everyday, simply by taking in 2 puffs (sounds like cigarette yar but it's definitely healthier..) in the day and night. In emergency when the person needs 1st aid, we can also administer the oxygen to the person. Hence, it's like your 1st aid tool as well. Erm... the main reason why i actually parted with my money was becos i think i will need it. If you have been following my blog, you would recall that I was suffering from quite a few episodes of breathless and heart related problems and hence I felt that with this oxygen around, I might be able to render self help when the time arises.... Fine.. i pai4 si2 k.. (-_-''') p/s: if anyone is interested in getting a puff, i willl gladly let you have it at a promotional price of S$1/puff! hehee... =X *terms & conditions apply i just find out that my SHIFU is not together with E*****. Oh WoW... how amazing right... i think i must be seriously deprived of all these in my younger days hence i'm trying to do whatever i can now... but i'm loving every single day of it and i feel very enriched and happy with my life now... Hopefully my wed will remain free for the time being if not i think it'll be hard for me to meet up with my friends.. Just 2 days ago (which is wed), i met up with Xiuting and Sutee. What was supposed to be a GSS outing turn out to be a Kbox outing. This is the very 1st time the 3 girls are k-ing together and i think we had great fun! too bad all of us had to go work the next day if not i think we would have greatly stayed and sang till 3am! my dear friend is going thru some emotional rollar coaster now and i hope she will be able to get thru it soon and i hope the both of them will be fine .. but i understand that such problems can't be settled so soon... anyway, wishing them all the best =) for the past few weeks, i've been lunching with Wanting (can't call u 'ting' cus i have2 'ting' frds..). It was nice to have a friend to eat lunch with cus lunch with my colleagues was always rather 'quiet' and sometimes quite awkward cus i really dun haf much to talk to them... =X and i do recalled how i 'rendered' aid to wanting cus her office ran out of water and she was nearly 'dying of thirst' and dry throat..(apparently both of us were coughing and having bad throats...). We played 'pass-the-batons' game... mi filling up the water bottle and going to the toilet to meet her and when she finish the bottle, she will meet me at the toilet and i'll tk the bottle and refill it.. haha... i felt i was like smuggling water out from the office... anyway, i think i'll miss her after she goes back to school.. ok.. it's nearly 6pm. Have been busy with work and when I get home, seldom do i wan to face my com again... that's explains why i haben been dilligently updating my bloggy... As promised in my last entry, credits mention of my secondary buddies who gave me a post celebration for my bday. If my poly frds are my KTV Kakis then this group of secondary school friends are definitely my Sakae Sushi Kakis... realised that 8 out of 10 of our dinner are always at Sakae Sushi... little wonder my dear who doesn't touch Jap initially is now a fan of Jap food... =P They 'bought' me the adidas shoes for my present... Wel.. I bought the shoes and they gave me the ang pow for it.. hehee.. Anyway, thanks pal. Might not be a 'loud' celebration but i'm fine with just meeting and knowing tt each of us are still breathing... haha... Been going to the Gym lately.. wel.. oK.. only twice.. Every Sunday after my dance at StudioWu KeckSeng, I will travel to Clementi to meet dear and we will walk over to the sports stadium and use the gym there. Joe and Rodney would be there too.. Apparently these guys are training for their IPPT... being the only girl there, I always felt abit shy to use the other equipments except the tread mill... I think i feel more at ease dancing than serious working out... Do hope that these gym sessions will help to tone up my flabby arms and tummy... I have been coughing for the past 1 week and I'm so irritated... sometimes i will cough till I feel headache-ish or feel like fainting.. and what's worse is that if i start coughing in the train, I will be worried that the others will think I got TB or what... feels so damn Bu Hao Yi Si... siGh.. and I dunno if I can sing properly tml with such poor throat managment... arGh... 1 good thing about my cough is that it helps to keep me away from the oily and fried food which means i might be able to cut down on the fats intake and hopefully lose some fats on me... =) Dancing has been great cus Bryan (instructor) has been giving me and my sis comments and advice on our dancing. Which means, he did monitor our progress and noticed us... I'll work harder on my weakness i.e. FEEL... Bryan said I got the energy but i lack the feel.. hMmm... more music appreciation class....? Ishi and Emilin are together! Well.. they didn't announce it but with my woman's instinct and guts feel, I can almost 99.99% confirmed this point... They are really compatible so I'm happy for my dear instructor... =) no wonder they said "Ri Jiu Sheng Qing"... Suddenly, i yearn for the feeling of being woo... 0 comments Tuesday, June 05, 2007 ( all about may and jun @ 5:15 PM ) ok ok... maybe i shud start with the public holiday (Vesak Day) on thur. 31 May 2007 Replugged Recital - Beyond My Room 2007 Yes! Today's the day to showcase to people other than Lucas, Genevieve and Bevlyn (yes, they are my classmates and my laoshi..) my singing skills. Have been learning in Replugged since last year 20th May. WooOah... already more than a year! Really grow to be quite attached to the place and the teachers there. Woke up around 830am to prepare (must dress nice nice and yet not too over the top) and got out of the house at 10am! Headed down to Renee's (my keyboardist) home so that we can do our FINAL run thru before the actual performance. Thou she was still fumbling over the interlude but I think she did shown alot of improvements. so THUMBS UP for Renee! (p/s: she only started learning keyboard for like 6mths so it was already considered quite good to be able to play the song) We left the house at 1215 so as to reach Replugged bt 1315. We are so kiasu cus we were thinking of being the 1st to arrive so that we can 'chop' a room and do some last last run thru again... See how nervous we are... *piAngz* Indeed, we were the 1st. Not even KangYang or Juliet were there yet (means no one open door also... =X) And thus we climbed the stairs down again to 7-11 and bought drinks. Bumped into KangYang who was also buying drinks there. =) Of course, the super kiasu Renee and me managed to grab a room and started our rehersals AGAIN.. I was nervous cus I could see that she's having some problems with the interlude and I was worried about how we can pass it off... Soon the place was filled with music enthusiasts and their supporters. Seeing the crowd made me even shaky.... my item was the 3rd one. The first guy (Tai An) performed and I think he gave a good start. He was visually entertaining (he bought props along k!) and he made us laugh thru out his performance. He sang some Jap song and there were lots of animal sounds within the song...oInk oiNk.. meow... etc etc... The 2nd guy (Alex) sang a more familiar song - Ju Hua Tai. Ok. Not too bad. He played his own accompany using the keyboard. I think his voice was not too bad. Got potential. Anyway, managed to chat with him after our performance. So another friend made at Replugged. =) Finally, it was my turn! OMG... to be honest, while Alex was singing, I was also trying to calm myself down by taking lots and lots of deep breath... it's really not easy to feel at ease when the audience are like just 1 hand away from you... I went up the 'stage' and my 'camera man' aka boyfriend came in and sat down at where i was sitting. He was holding onto the digi cam & my hp... Haha.. Bev thought I 'ordered' him to use 2 'cameras'... duH... I where got so zi lian... I did a short and lame intro... and turn to Renee and she started playing... "Teng... teng...teng......." I'm still comptemplating if I should upload the video cus I think I under performed... =( After what seems like forever to me, I finally sang finish the song! Bravo! Bravo! Great thanks for Renee for the music. Oh yar, this girl will be gg overseas for studies soon. All the best yar~ I stayed back for the 2nd session of the recital. The 2nd session was filled with (I would say) better singers/musicians. But overall it was still a very entertaining performance for all. Not forgetting that Bev, Juliet and Kangyang was so strongly welcomed by the crowd as we urged them to take the stage and sing for us. It was the 1st time Bev & Juliet sang together and they sang "Love Me". Oh~ It was damn nice lo... Kangyang sang "Kiss Goodbye". A nice ending to the whole recital. Think it's the very 1st time I see him serious abit in Replugged.. He's always laming with me... haHa... Photos time... Renee & Me!   Darling & me!  My Fav Pic of the Day!  After the recital, we headed down to Suntec City. IT FAIR!!!!! Bought a laptop from dear's friend whom we bumped into at the fair. Spent S$1399 on the laptop and dear said he will subsidise partial as part of our 3rd anni & my bday present. =) Now, I'm trying to get my house wireless so that I can use the internet via my laptop at home... 1 Jun 2007 Studio Wu - Evoke Musical Yea! Today's the day where I can get to see all the Pro Dancers from Studiowu perform their moves. The musical was held at Jubilee Hall. The very first time I went there was for nasco percussion concert - not as a performer but as a backstage helper. Should ask chenchin how enthu i was lo. haha... =X The musical started with the 1st act on Rage. wOAh.. indeed a very fury and bombastic act. The fire medicine (Huo Yao Wei) was very intense but I find some parts of the dance very messy... tsk tsk... but then my favourite instructor aka Bryan was in this act.. I think he's got the talent for such act.. he can show really fierce face... =p 2nd act was on Saddness.. my another favourite instructor Ishi was one of the main lead! He was like a Prince Charming tt day cus he wear white shirt with white blazor and was the good guy in the act... but towards the end, he was shot to death and he practically 'slept' on the stage for abt 7mins ba... haha... Oh yar.. he also sang his own composed song which I felt was quite nice... Another thing about the 2nd act was cus my favourite dance item of the musical was in this act. Emilin and 5 other girls were dancing to this song - Listen by Beyonce Knowles and I really loved it. Both the song and the dance... alot of feEling ar... nice nice.... Coming to the 3rd act was of course Happiness. I had a great time laughing at all the funny characters in this act.. there was Muthu, Jean Pierre, Kia Kia etc etc... Yutaki was also very cute! This act certainly got the audience laugh button on... The finale was "Over the Rainbow" sung by Andy and Ishi and "Qing Fei De Yi" by Yutaki. Poor Ishi, when he came out to sing, the mic was spoil and we couldn't hear him. End up him and Andy were performing 'mic-exchanging' stunts while singing... Managed to save the awkwardness with all the funny actions thou.. The musical ended at 10pm and mi and my sis loitered outside the hall waiting for the dancers to come out. Gosh... so fast.. just a year ago I was at the Chalet with a whole big group of relatives and friends celebrating my 21st bday and today I'm celebrating my bday again! Times flies.. I'm getting old... =( I went to Queensway cus the stock for the adidias shoes which I was eyeing was finally here and I felt I badly wanted it today so .... =X Seeing that Ikea was like a stone throw away, I also went in to grab something for my room.. My room is in a total disaster mode and I really need to get some storage items to keep my 'rubbish' in place. I also bought some boxes ('cartons') which everyone thought was karang guni cupboards... duH... Met Huiling, Anthrea, Rodney, Joe & Eik Chyun at Chinatown cus Huiling has a good lobang for ktv. The ktv is called Ten Dollar Family KTV. Really very cheap lo... free flow of drinks (limited flavours) and we even got a free bowl of shark's fins! Don't expect top grade la... But the rooms were very cosy and very family lo... I like.. Smoke Free also!! Think I will go there more often instead of Kbox or partyworld. This is the very first time I celebrated my bday at KTV. Had bday celebrations for many others but nv myself. They bought mi a mango cake (somehow I think ALL my bday I always eat Mango Cake...but i like...) and they surprised me with poppers! I admit I was really caught off guard by those pOppers.. and I heard from witnesses that Anthrea Tan was the only one aiming directly at me while the other pOpped towards the air... Haha... she sure 'loves' me ar... =X We ate at the Mei Shi Jie and desserts was at the famous Wei Xiang Yuan and home sweet home after that. Photos will be up soon...
