Monday, July 27, 2009 ( Lousy SFF & Great NDP @ 4:00 PM ) Show Cancelled. 24 07 2009 Frm Replugged Music: On behalf of Replugged Music, we apologise for the cancellation of the programme due to poor judgement, and lack of integrity from Capitaland and Event organisers involved. Above all, we hope that all lessons have been learnt on keeping the musicians' dignity at all times, and remembering our art cannot be replaced, and how effortlessly ignorance only reveals itself in the face of a confrontation. They have offered us no concrete explanations and like a poor breakup, they have continued to push their blame on each other. Bevlyn, Zhaohao and I walk away knowing we have made our point. Face it, the music scene is Singapore is far from gaining its recognition and respect. But we hope that you'd attempt to walk away feeling more motivated than ever to fight for what you believe in. To me, you are all wonderful awesome rockin-it-on musicians. And I am proud to know I've once participated in your music-learning journey. Thank you all, including Huibing, Sherman, Zhaohao, Bevlyn, Audris, Angeline, Yiwang, Fion, Meixian, Nianwen, Lynn, Vivian, Marianne, Michelle, Jason, Christabel, Darryl, Jasmine and all your wonderful supporters. The SFF was incepted in 1994 and has grown over the years to establish itself as a key event within Singapore’s calendar of events. Since its inception, SFF has successfully profiled Singapore’s diverse offerings of local and international food, positioning Singapore as the Food Capital in Asia. SFF seeks to bring Singapore’s much-loved local cuisine to the world stage, by highlighting our unique local food as well as food culture and heritage. For the entire month of July, participants can look forward to an even more exotic and sumptuous fare to leave you an unforgettable gastronomic experience islandwide! ------------------------------- In celebration of this event, and of all the creative juices in our musical experiences, Replugged Music will be presenting an hour long's music-sharing from 9-10pm at Clarke Quay's Central Fountain (across the river from Central mall). In a similar spirit of re-creativity for want of a better expression, our students have been working hard and are excited to present you a selection of popular radio-friendly hits (both Mandarin and English) in an acoustic style. Student pianists from Replugged Music are Cai Nianwen, Lynn Koh and Audris Ho. Special ukelele performances by student Vivian Lim who will also be our lovely emcee for the night. Curious to know who our charming student singers are? Come by and catch us from 9pm -10pm on 24th July 2009! It will be a delicious night, street food, bright lights, charming voices. Very gastronimically sound, we think! Come by and join us! I finally managed to upload the above pic! hahaha.... mi & Qiu Qiu (FK)!Was down with a horrible fever and flu and cough the past week (no.. it’s not H1N1) and so my blog was also on MC these days… =p Anyway, I’m almost fully recovered already so I’m back in action! This week is going to be a super duper busy week cus we are doing an inaugural event at Suntec over the weekend! The event is all about investments and educating you on investment so do drop by if you are nearby k? Admission is free so please come by yar~ Back to last week, I went to Sherine’s wedding! Yes, my poly course mate! She’s the first amongst my poly friends to step on the red carpet! Oh my… 24 years old.. isn’t it abit too young? Hmmm….. anyway, she looks really gorgeous that day and she look really compatible with her husband. Both of them are in the airline industry (one’s a air stewardess and another a pilot) and they ingeniously came up with the perfect wedding gift for the guest i.e. a luggage tag that’s either a groom or bride’ design! So cool…. It was not a very ra-ra wedding. Quite simple I would say. Maybe course I always imagine my own wedding to be even more exciting than that. Lol… It was also a great catch up with my poly mates. Saw ppl like Shi Fa, Cheng Xun, Terence, Wilfred, Cheryl, Naz and Su and of course my dearest Summer & Yvonne! Oh! I really miss them.. miss the ‘4-seasons’ days.. haha…. Though we haven’t met for quite some time already but I could feel the bonding still. Hope we can meet up often and this better not be just a ‘talk only but no action’ thingy. =) Oh ya! Last wed was also the last class for waackin and also the battle for waackin course! As expected, I didn’t make it through the 1st round cus I was abit too nervous and was off beat here and there and my expression was nah~ not so good. But anyway, I’m proud of my sis cus I think she really did very well in the 1st round. Could very be the champion of that round but alas.. her battle with chingyi was not that great cus I think she was nervous and didn’t really do much waackin but more of her usual ah-lian pattern a lot.. hahaha… the battle was really fun and enjoyable cus I think everyone of us really improve a lot and there were a few jaw-dropping performances… hahaha….yea! Waackin 2 jia you!!! Before I end this entry (cus I really need to get back to work), just to inform you guys, replugged music will be doing another performance at The Central (or somewhere near there) on 24 Jul around dinner time (will confirm timing again) and I do hope you guys can come down and support if possible!
